Nature Finds a Way: Forms that inspire

My work is a reflection of how plant life reacts and adapts to unchecked commercial development and pollution. I look to the plants in my D.C. neighborhood for ideas and inspiration. A small plant might lose its plot of dirt and take refuge in the cracks of a brick wall. It survives, but not in its usual form. These examples are everywhere. I take a photo and work across mediums exploring ways to express this form through the cycle of creation-destruction-rebuild-repeat. Nature finds a way.
